Laura Nyro ou Laura Nigro (nome de batismo) é uma cantora-compositora e pianista de grande importância e influência na história do rock femino, nasceu dia 18 de outubro de 1947 no Bronx, Nova Iorque e faleceu aos 49 anos de câncer no ovário no dia 8 de abril de 1997 em Danbury, Connecticut.
